Betashares acquired Bendigo Superannuation Pty Ltd (Bendigo Super) on 1 September 2024.
Bendigo Super members were initially notified of the proposed acquisition on 2 October 2023. Members will also receive a significant event notice in early September 2024 confirming the successful completion of the acquisition.

No. The acquisition is not a merger or a transfer of your retirement benefits to another super fund. You are still a member of the Bendigo Superannuation Plan. From 1 September 2024, the ownership of Bendigo Super changed from Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited to Betashares.
Not yet. The current superannuation products remain the existing Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension products.
Yes. Whilst our immediate focus is to ensure a smooth continuation of day-to-day operations of the current Bendigo Super products, we will also be working on building enhanced superannuation solutions as part of Betashares.
Yes. All members continue to be Bendigo Super members.
No. All member details, including your account number, remain unchanged as part of the acquisition.
Yes. If your adviser is currently linked to your account, there will be no change.
No. The contributions made by your employer will not be impacted and will continue into your Bendigo Super account.
No. All Bendigo SmartStart Super and Bendigo SmartStart Pension fees remain the same.
Bendigo Super members no longer have access to the Bendigo Bank Wealth Concierge. Alternatively, ASIC’s MoneySmart website is a trusted, government website which has a range of free tools and resources to help Australian with their personal finances – including super and retirement. In addition, Bendigo Super members can seek their own independent financial advice through a licensed financial planner.
No, your pension payments will continue to be paid as normal.
Betashares has made no changes to your investments as part of the acquisition. In August 2024 Bendigo Super made changes to the investment menu, and this was unrelated to the acquisition.
Yes. There is no change to the insurance provider (TAL) or insurance benefits.
Yes. All nominated beneficiaries will be retained. However as per the current process, a Binding Death Nomination must be reviewed and reconfirmed by you every three years.
Your local Bendigo Bank branch will no longer be able to assist you with your Bendigo Super queries. However, you can still contact the Bendigo Super Client Services Team directly by calling 1800 033 426 or by emailing [email protected].
Bendigo Bank branches can no longer process super contributions or accept Bendigo Super forms. However, you can make contributions into your Bendigo SmartStart Super account by submitting a BPAY® contribution online. For additional assistance on how to make a super contribution you can speak to the Bendigo Super Client Services Team directly by calling 1800 033 426 or by emailing [email protected]
